Frequently asked questions
Which formats can I view?
JPEG, PNG and WebP are fully parsed. For HEIC, EXIF and XMP are found by scanning the file, so the list may be incomplete.
Why does my photo have no GPS?
Many apps and social networks already strip location when a photo is shared or exported, and some cameras never record it. If no location field is listed, none was found in the file.
What does the Orientation tag mean?
It tells viewers how to rotate the stored pixels for display. A value of 6, for example, means the photo should be turned 90 degrees clockwise.
Is the photo uploaded to read it?
No. It is read in your browser and never leaves your device.
