Features
Checksum-validated numbers: Card numbers must pass Luhn, IBANs must pass mod-97, and Aadhaar numbers must pass Verhoeff, so ordinary numbers are not flagged.
Masked on screen: Examples are shown masked (for example **** 1111), so the report is safe to glance at.
Hidden text too: Also flags text hidden under black boxes, which is still extractable.

Frequently asked questions
Which kinds of data are detected?
Email addresses, phone numbers, payment card numbers, IBANs, US Social Security numbers, Indian Aadhaar and PAN numbers, and dates of birth written next to a label such as DOB.
Can it miss something?
Yes. It reads only the selectable text layer, and it is deliberately strict to avoid false alarms: unusually formatted numbers, text split across lines, and text inside images can be missed. Always review the document yourself.
Is an SSN or phone number match certain?
No. They have no checksum, so they are matched by format only (for example 123-45-6789 or +1 415-555-0132).
